The Procurement and Supply Division (PSD) of the Ministry of Citizens’ Services (CITZ) plays the leadership role in the management of all outsourced contracts, procurement services and supply services. The Division is also responsible for the BC Procurement Strategy to improve and modernize procurement in the Province of British Columbia while realizing value for money and creating benefits for communities. The PSD team consists of approximately 350 employees in eight cities across the province who are a part of four branches: Supply Services, Procurement Transformation, Strategic Projects and Procurement Services.

The MDO will work closely with the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) to support her in providing executive leadership and strategic direction to the Division. In the MDO role, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring the ADM’s office operates in an effective manner by managing division operations, including holding senior executive accountable for priority actions that arise through business planning and leadership meetings.? The MDO must exercise independent daily decision-making, develop operational strategies, processes and specific courses of action to respond to requests and inquiries, many of which affect the overall operation of the division.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Completion of?a diploma or degree in business administration or related field?OR an equivalent combination of education and/or training and experience.
- 3?years of experience working directly with ministry Executive and related Executive offices (e.g., Minister’s Office, Deputy Minister’s Office) or equivalent experience working with senior leaders and Executives.
- 3?years of experience managing operational or administrative processes.
- 3 years of experience coordinating briefing materials, reports and correspondence in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience in issues management.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience with various software including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.
