Within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, the Integrated Data Division (IDD) provides leadership, corporate services, and policy development to support data-driven decision-making and innovation. The Division offers programs that enable integration, access and analysis of public sector data (Data Innovation Program and DataBC), and support cross-government analysis and capacity building (Data Science Partnerships). IDD also leads the implementation of the Province’s open data initiative and helps program areas across government connect to tech sector innovation through the Start-Up in Residence.

As a member of an Agile team, the Intermediate Technical Analyst plans, develops, and manages infrastructure technology solutions across multiple platforms, program areas and a variety of systems environments, including configuration, installation and integration services.

The Division is the government’s corporate leader in open data, data science, geospatial data management, digital mapping and location services delivery. We are known widely for our use of, and contributions to, open source projects, and the availability of modern APIs for things like web map services, geocoding, and data sharing. We deliver these services through state of the art software development and deployment architectures. You will find examples of some of these services in the BC Data Catalogue ( and on GitHub? Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree, diploma, or certification in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Minimum of 1 years’ experience coordinating resolution of technical and business problems while managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • A Minimum of 1 years’ experience investigating and troubleshooting complex application and infrastructure availability and performance issues.


  • To provide occasional after-hours support during evenings and weekends for production application and server upgrades and patching.
  • To provide on call 24-hour during critical and business priority situations.
