Alanis Obomsawin, of the Abenaki people, has worked as a filmmaker with the National Film Board (NFB) of Canada for 50 years. Following a recent retrospective of her work was recently celebrated in 2018, Alanis speaks on many areas from her current work, where she is working on her 52nd film, through to the Indigenous climate in the nation today. Alanis continues by sharing her views of the political and social landscape with hope and positivity, seeing doors opening through reconciliation.
